Your safety and comfort is our priority during your stay with us in Southwell.
Everything we do, we try to do with a minimum impact on the environment.
We use local products as much as possible in our welcome packs, including soaps from @soaksouthwell and sometimes leave home grown produce from our garden - when in season!
Recycling bins are clearly marked and the leisure centre four doors away has facilities for glass and tetra pacs to be recycled too.
We use eco friendly dishwasher and washing tablets. All our laundry is done back at our base a few doors away having been blowing in the breeze outside.
We are members of the green tourism business scheme - we also pledge to plant an acorn for every guest who stays at Lavender Cottage so that one day you can come back and visit the oak tree grown in the year of your first stay.
We set up a sewing group during lockdown and donated over 200 masks to those without homes, refugees and asylum seekers
We collect milk bottle lids to raise funds for children’s wheelchairs and sponsors of SOS children’s villages in India
